For awhile, I have wanted to make my own terrain. I decided to start with simple, stone wall ruins. I had a couple square feet of 1/2" thick, pink foam laying around, so I decided to get to work.
After about a half hour of cutting the foam, this is what I came up with. I used a razor blade to cut out the individual stone blocks, and a hot wire to sculpt the bases into an organic shape with sloping edges. After I glued the pieces together, I used my razor blade to break off little pieces of the stone bricks to make them look weathered. | This is a size comparison to show how large they are compared to a standard 28mm miniature. |
